BADMINTON DEVELOPMENT CO-ORDINATOR
CASUAL/PART-TIME POST
12 HRS PER WEEK
£10 PER HOUR
Badminton Wales in partnership with Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taff are seeking to recruit two new Badminton Development Co-ordinators on a casual/part-time basis, one for each of these localities.
This post offers a chance to operate at the cutting edge of development in Badminton within these Local Authorities. The role will be to work with Clubs, Schools, Badminton Leaders, Coaches and Development Centres ensuring an increase in numbers of players and opportunities from participation to performance.
Your challenge will be:
- To recruit and train Badminton Leaders/Young officials
- Provide coach development pathways and mentoring
- Quality assurance of coaches within the 5x60 programme and community
- Work on court with Clubs to develop junior and adult players and sessions
- Promote an inclusive competitive structure
- Ensure established Club/School links
- Deliver the Badminton Wales Schools Programme in both Secondary and Primary sectors, including delivering teacher mentoring and festivals
- Talent ID and provide coaching support U13 Development Centre
Applicants should have a recognised UKCC Badminton Coaching Award , an understanding of sports development and a passion to work with a progressive National Governing Body and Local Authority.
