DAYO Takes on the Elites
Gareth Day ran with the RVBA Academy for Memory Lane Cakes this weekend and romped home with the Elite Runners.
Gareth just pipped the committe times (Huw, Andy and Simon ran this for RVBA 2 years ago) with a time of 41.14 !
After the race Gareth used Mars Refuel drinks to recover and replenish his energy stores.
Team Mascot
I am very happy to introduce our new Team Mascot, seen here with Michelle Smith - our Social Secreatary and Committe / Team Member - Wilson proves he has what it takes to stay on top.
As with all Mascots and people in advisory positions he fits the critera perfectly - he is compact, cheap to employ and a great communicator.
Expect to see a lot more of him in the coming months.
No Retreat No Surrender
With the season nearly upon us its time to bed down to some serious training.
The first training session was a great success with only a few team members missing, the session was taken by our president Gary Rees and was a great night.
Roy Watkins attended the session and here demonstrates the concentration level required to succeed
STING & Co
After crashing onto the scene in his Pre Season Clash with West Glam, Gareth Hughes aka STING made the trip to the North with the band.
Gareth Hughes, Gareth Gooding and Peter Hanlon are but three of this years new recruits. It is hoped that we may qualify for Mars Sports funding which will help us develop a second team.
Strong Support
Last year there was a LOT of support from not only the team but others in many shapes and forms.
From free pasties and cakes to people helping out on the BIG PAINT we are very grateful for any kind of help.
